OpenAI, the mastermind behind ChatGPT, has rolled out a novel feature enabling users to craft personalized chatbots, or "GPTs," sans the need for coding skills. Users can articulate their bot's functionalities by conversing with ChatGPT, and the system autonomously generates the requisite code in the background.

These bespoke bots are versatile, adept at tasks ranging from troubleshooting specific issues to providing instruction or automating diverse actions across online platforms and services.

OpenAI has ambitious plans to introduce an online chatbot store, where users can discover GPTs created by verified builders. The company envisions users monetizing their skills by charging for access to their custom chatbots. This feature is currently accessible to Plus or Enterprise ChatGPT subscribers.

This revelation took place during OpenAI DevDay, the company's inaugural developer conference held in San Francisco. OpenAI highlighted the involvement of companies such as Amgen, Bain, and Square, which are already leveraging these personalized chatbots for internal purposes.

In addition to this, OpenAI revealed a more robust text-generation model known as GPT-4 Turbo, encompassing information up to April 2023. This advanced model can handle larger volumes of text, equivalent to 300 pages, and possesses the capability to process and generate images and audio. Furthermore, OpenAI has made its APIs more cost-effective, thereby reducing the expenses associated with utilizing its most advanced model.
