Samsung Introduces Three Cutting-Edge OLED Gaming Monitors Packed With Advanced Features.
Samsung has provided a sneak peek at three upcoming Odyssey gaming monitors, just in time for the CES 2024 event.
All three monitors feature OLED displays and are equipped with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, along with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. Additionally, Samsung has incorporated its exclusive anti-glare technology into each monitor, effectively reducing reflections from daylight and ambient lighting.
Leading the lineup is the 49-inch Samsung Odyssey OLED G95SD, a curved ultra-wide monitor with a DQHD resolution of 5120 x 1440. With a rapid 0.03ms response time, a 240Hz refresh rate, and a spacious 32:9 aspect ratio, this monitor promises an immersive gaming experience. It also provides access to Samsung’s intelligent TV platform and the company’s cloud-based Gaming Hub. Despite its slim form factor, it offers a more manageable size compared to the expansive Odyssey Ark.
Following is the Odyssey G80SD, marking Samsung's entrance into flat 32-inch OLED gaming displays. Boasting a 4K resolution at 3840 x 2160 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ratio, this monitor delivers a speedy 0.03ms response time and a 240Hz refresh rate for a seamless gaming experience. Designed for space-conscious users, it features an ultra-thin profile measuring just under four millimeters in width. With a peak brightness of 450 nits, it ensures vibrant visuals and includes CoreLighting+ technology for customizable ambient lighting settings.
The OLED G60SD in 27 inches stands as the most compact option in Samsung's recent Odyssey OLED lineup. With a 360Hz refresh rate and a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440, this monitor also supports CoreLighting+. Its slim metal form factor adds to its aesthetic appeal, and users can fine-tune their viewing experience with adjustable options like tilt, pivot, and swivel. While pricing details are yet to be revealed, Samsung has promised that these monitors will hit the market sometime this year, building anticipation as CES 2024 approaches.
