CaliExpress, a dining establishment situated in Pasadena, Southern California, has catapulted into the future with the introduction of the planet's initial fully automated dining experience. Through a collaboration between Cali Group, Miso Robotics, and PopID, the restaurant now boasts an environment where artificial intelligence manages everything, from order placement to cooking.

This pioneering eatery showcases automated fry and grill stations, with robots adeptly crafting customized orders. The experience is described as a "pseudo-museum," allowing patrons to observe the entire process executed by machines. John Miller, PopID's CEO, stressed the groundbreaking nature of this endeavor, asserting it to be the world's first restaurant where both ordering and all cooking processes are entirely automated.

To augment the futuristic ambiance, the restaurant incorporates moving robot arms repurposed from retired Flippy units, alongside experimental 3D-printed artifacts and displayed photographs. Miso Robotics' CEO, Rich Hull, underscored the transformative influence of AI-powered robotic order-taking and cooking, highlighting enhancements in quality, consistency, and speed for prominent restaurant chains. This milestone represents the culmination of years of research, development, and investment in cutting-edge technologies.
