"PTA Unveils New VPN Registration Portal for Users"

 The PTA recently conducted a consultation to outline its new framework for VPN registration, aimed at improving security for Pakistan’s IT and e-commerce industries.

As part of this effort, the PTA launched an online portal to simplify VPN registration for businesses, freelancers, and other users. This move is designed to ensure safer and more efficient online operations, particularly for those who rely on VPNs for their work.

In the session, the PTA also addressed concerns about recent VPN disruptions, clarifying that these were caused by a "technical glitch," not any deliberate throttling of VPN services. This clarification helped alleviate concerns and gave businesses a clearer understanding of the registration system’s purpose.
