Submarine Cable Breakdown Causes Internet Disruptions in Pakistan Once More
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, or PTA, announced on Thursday evening that a fault had been detected in the AAE-1 submarine cable near Qatar, which might affect internet and broadband services throughout Pakistan.
The PTA issues a statement to the public regarding the problem. Since AAE-1 is one of the seven major international undersea cables connecting Pakistan for global internet traffic, the fault might affect the internet and broadband experience across the whole country.
The authority also stated that relevant teams are very active and working to resolve the issue. The authority is closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates to telecom users as required.
In Pakistan, it is a normal scenario wherein internet slowdowns and undersea cable faults are frequently happening incidents, which is done almost every week.
